FTi Squareway Woods - Alan Hocknell: This is the FTi Squareway Wood. You know, initially in R & D, we were skeptical about making a square fairway wood that would have some of the benefits that come from the FTi driver being square. But the prototype surprised us in that we managed to elevate the rear heel and toe away from the ground level by producing this runner shape, but at the same time, put in weight here that was made available to us by having a carbon fiber crown. Over all, this is the most stable ferry wood head we’ve ever produced, and that allows us to make a longer shaft configuration. Overall then, this club is the longest and straightest ferry wood we’ve every produced.

You’ll notice it has a square profile at address, and that’s really about moving weight out to the corners of the club head to drive up the moment of inertia or forgiveness, resistance to twisting, which means not just on the center but on off center shots you’re going to see some of the straightest and longest shots you’ve ever seen out of a 3 wood.
