FTi Squareway Woods - About

FTi Squareway Woods – About The revolutionary design and technology of the breakthrough FTi driver has made its way to the fairway. Introducing a new category of woods, FTi Squareway Woods from Calloway Golf. With a moment of inertia approaching that of Calloway Golf’s best selling drivers, the unique Squareway inertial design positions discretionary mass to the extreme corners to the club head. The giant leap in moment of inertia is a result of proprietary fusion technology that seamlessly combines a stainless steel face, sole, and body, with a lightweight carbon composite crown. Discretionary weight is repositioned, raising moment of inertia and creating our most forgiving fairway wood to date. A large footprint with a shallow face and low leading edge easily gets the ball airborne with a large effective hitting area. VFT technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for increased distance and forgiveness, while S2H2 increases discretionary mass by removing it from the hossle and repositioning it in more advantageous areas. Advanced fairway wood shaft designs by Fujikura add to the incredible feel and performance. The shape of something new – FTi Squareway Woods from Calloway Golf. FTi Squareway Woods - Alan Hocknell

FTi Squareway Woods - Alan Hocknell: This is the FTi Squareway Wood. You know, initially in R & D, we were skeptical about making a square fairway wood that would have some of the benefits that come from the FTi driver being square. But the prototype surprised us in that we managed to elevate the rear heel and toe away from the ground level by producing this runner shape, but at the same time, put in weight here that was made available to us by having a carbon fiber crown. Over all, this is the most stable ferry wood head we’ve ever produced, and that allows us to make a longer shaft configuration. Overall then, this club is the longest and straightest ferry wood we’ve every produced.

FTi Squareway Woods - Jeff Colton

FTi Squareway Woods - Jeff Colton: Our new FTi Squareway Wood drafts off the same principles as our FTi Driver. You’ll notice it has a square profile at address, and that’s really about moving weight out to the corners of the club head to drive up the moment of inertia or forgiveness, resistance to twisting, which means not just on the center but on off center shots you’re going to see some of the straightest and longest shots you’ve ever seen out of a 3 wood.
