Bionic Classic Glove

Bionic Classic Glove: My name is Bill Clark with Bionic Technology, and what I’d like to talk to you about today is the Bionic Classic Golf Glove. This golf glove was designed by a leading orthopedic hand surgeon and every feature of the glove is based upon the anatomy of your hand. If you look at the palm of your hand, you’ll actually see that it’s really a series of peaks and valleys, and it’s not just flat. The peaks are actually your joints but you have valleys in your fingers, palm, and thumb. And the only way to get complete surface contact on a golf club in the valleys of your hand is that you have to squeeze it really tight. If you look at the palm to the Bionic Golf Glove, we actually have an anatomical pad system in the fingers, the palm, and the thumb which fills up those valleys and gives you complete surface contact on the club. The benefits of the anatomical pad system that you see in the palm is that it’s going to promote a lighter grip for a golfer and allow them to increase their clubhead speed. It’s also going to provide more surface contact on the club, and more surface contact equates to better control of the golf club. Golfers tell us that this glove lasts two to three times longer than a traditional golf glove, and this is also an added benefit of the anatomical pad system. On the back of the glove, what you’ll see is thin Lycra in the exact location of the motion zones over your knuckles. What this does is give you complete flexibility and range of motion so that the glove is working with your hand and not fighting your hand. The other feature of this glove is that if you look at your fingers, they’re actually pre-rotated, and when I close my hand around a golf club you can see that the fingers pre-rotate seven to nine degrees. All other golf gloves cut their finger patterns straight. With Bionic Technology, we put a seven to nine degree pre-rotation into this glove. So again, this glove is working with your hand and not fighting your hand. The last feature of this glove is in regard to moisture management. There’s more moisture management features in this glove than any other glove on the market. The inside layer of each of the anatomical pads filling up the valleys in the palm of your hand is terry cloth. It’s like having eleven mini-towels on the inside of the glove absorbing moisture off the palm of your hand. All of the black motion zones over your knuckles are also breathable, allowing for air flow and keeping your hands dry. And on the wrist of the glove, we have a wide terry cloth wristband that absorbs moisture coming down from your forearm. This is the Bionic Classic Glove.

Bionic - Glove Technology

Bionic – Glove Technology: My name is Bill Clark with Bionic Glove Technology. This technology is the only golf glove designed by a leading orthopedic hand surgeon. What Dr. Kleiner taught us about the human hand is that your hand is really not flat, and if you look at the skeleton you can see that your hand is really a series of peaks and valleys. The peaks are actually your joints, but what people don’t realize is that on either side of your joint you have valleys. The only way to get surface contact on a golf club in the valleys of your fingers, palm, and thumb is you have to squeeze the golf club really tight. And when you squeeze the golf club tight, you tense everything up to your shoulder in terms of your muscles and you slow down clubhead speed. With Bionic Technology, what we do is actually fill in these valleys in the orange locations with an anatomical pad system. And what this anatomical pad system does for the golfer is it provides complete surface contact between the hand and the grip of the club. Complete surface contact equates to a lighter grip which actually will increase clubhead speed. Complete surface contact also equates into more control of the golf club. The other benefit of the anatomical pad system is that if you have any shock or vibration on an off-center hit or a cold day, the shock and vibration actually will go into the anatomical pad system and not into your joints. Another feature in regards to the anatomical pad system is that this pad system really does enhance the durability of the glove, and typically what we here from golfers is that this technology will actually enhance the durability of the glove two to three times of a traditional golf glove. On the other side of your hand, what Dr. Kleiner (sp) taught us is that the anatomical breaks of your knuckles go up and then they come down. And so what we’ve done is we’ve actually placed a thin, breathable Lycra material in the exact location of your knuckles in order to provide maximum flexibility to where the glove is working with the anatomy of your hand and not fighting your hand. The other thing that he taught us is your hand is not flat in terms of your fingers. If you look at all golf gloves, everyone cuts finger patterns straight, and that would be okay if your hand was flat. But when you actually close your hand, what happens is your fingers actually pre-rotate seven to nine degrees. And oftentimes, you’ll find golfers moving the seam off the face of their fingers. And the reason for that is that the glove has finger patterns that cut straight when actually your fingers pre-rotate seven to nine degrees. With Bionic Technology, we actually put the seven to nine degree pre-rotation into the finger pattern, so again the glove is working with your hand and not fighting your hand. The last feature of Bionic Technology is that we offer more moisture management features than any other golf glove on the market. The inside layer of the anatomical pad system is terry cloth. It’s like having eleven mini-towels on the inside of the glove. We also have motion zones that are breathable over your joints, allowing air flow, and then on the wrist of the glove, we have a wide terry cloth wristband that absorbs moisture down the forearm into the hand. Thank you for your consideration of this information.

Bionic - Meet Bill

Bionic – Meet Bill: My name is Bill Clark, and I’m with the Bionic Glove Technology Division out of Louisville, Kentucky. Our parent company is Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of the world-famous Louisville Slugger baseball bats and ball gloves. Our company is currently celebrating our 125th year anniversary as a family-owned business. Bionic Glove Technology was designed by a leading orthopedic hand surgeon, and the technology is based upon anatomy science, and ergonomics. Recently, Bionic Glove Technology signed Paul Azinger to an endorsement deal, and Paul Azinger will be wearing this technology on tour. If you look at the golf glove category, the mind set about golf gloves is “a glove is a glove is a glove”. It’s a piece of material with a different brand on it. For the first time in golf glove industry, we are actually bringing technology into the golf glove that provides performance benefits for all types of golfers – the low handicapper to the high handicapper. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to working with you in teaching you about this technology that benefits golfers based upon the anatomy of your hand.
