About Big Bang Distribution Drum Dial: Hi, Bob Casher with Big Bang Distribution, here to introduce the Drum Dial. Any guitar player can tell you how much he enjoys using a guitar tuner. Makes it easy: plugs it in, tunes his guitar up real fast, saves a whole lot of time. Same thing with Drum Dial – that’s exactly what this does. It measures timpanic pressure, and it can be used on a timpani as well. Basically what the Drum Dial does is it has a pressure point here that presses into the head. And it’s so sensitive that it’ll measure every small increment. Once you turn the Drum Dial, it will start measuring immediately what pressure you’re at. So, say 85 is your number. You find that number, and you turn every tension rod to that point. And I promise you your drum will be in tune. Now say your drum head is worn out and you just love the way that drum sounds. Well, go measure it, find out what number it is, write it down, put your new head on, tune it up to that point, and you’re going to get the exact same tone.
