Rossignol B Pro Women 100 Boot: Hi this is Thor with Rossignol ski Boots, like to tell you a little bit about the B Pro W100. This is a free ride boot that’s specifically geared towards women and designed specifically for women. We start with the 98 lass so we use a very narrow lass, so you have a very precision feeling and fit in the forefoot of the boot. Then we work with a women specific over cuff, so this boot is basically identical to the men’s B squad carbon boot, however we replace the upper cuff with a specific women’s upper cuff to make it match your leg shape. Women’s calves are lower than men’s so we need to go with a lower cuff and that’s what this cuff is geared toward. It’s being a better fit around your calf area, so you are going to have that ultimate performance of the B squad lower but with a women’s specific over cuff and fit. The boot comes with a 100 flex, with a locking screw that you can remove if you need it to be even softer. There are some other unique features on the boot that are very interesting, it is the virum sole, this is a rubber sole pads so that really aid at hiking and making even walking around in the parking lot more comfortable, so this is a very new feature to the boot that we did not have last year. Moving to the liner we have some very new interesting things there, we use a brand new style of padding, this is a poly ether injected padding, it is very different from the traditional paddings. This padding is injected into it’s own molds which allows us to create true contours to actually match your foot exactly, so it is going to reduce and basically eliminate any kind of pressure points that you may have and fit your foot exactly. Moving on from there we have done some very new things in tongue constructions, we no longer attach the tongues in the traditional place directly across the toes which has potential for pressure points, we use a one piece of toe box in the tongue area. This is very comfortable, soft material all across the toes and through the in step and all the way up into the shin, very few seams so ofcourse no pressure points. The other thing we have added is a very key feature, the in step pocket. This is a key feature for several things, number one it gives your instep bone the harsh spot on the top of your foot, a very comfortable place to live, allows you to buckle the boots or wrap your foot well so you have got the best performance out there. Also remember that the instep area has a lot of very important veins running through it which is very important to keeping the boot warm. So if we can keep that instep area in it’s own little pocket and the blood flowing freely, you are obviously going to be quite a bit warmer in that situation.
