About Atlas 8 Series: This is an introductory model in our trail walking snowshoe line. We have the Atlas 8 series, also available in Women’s Elektra 8 Series. The 8 Series and the Elektra 8 Series use the strap binding which offer benefits of the wrap support -- from the instep support from our wrap family of bindings with the minimal look of the strap system. The 8 Series uses our Nytex decking and our basic heel cleat and twin-track toe crampon for basic traction on rolling terrain. From our mountain hiking snowshoes down to our trail walking snowshoes, Atlas adult shoes use the SLS Spring-Loaded Suspension system across our entire line. SLS flexes the frame, providing deeper penetration of the crampon and natural articulation of the foot over uneven terrain.
