About Atlas 10 Series: Moving into the trail walking category atlas snowshoes are based on comfort, ease of use and stability for walking in Winter Terrain. This is the women’s Elektra 10 series, also available in a men’s 25, 30 and 35 inch. The women’s snowshoes for Atlas are built with the Elektra frame which has outside rolling bends that nest together easily so that a woman doesn’t have to interrupt her natural gait to accommodate a wider men’s snowshoe. The 10 Series for men and women is new this year with a new Wrap Comfort Binding which is designed around ease of use for the trail walking showshoer. The Wrap Comfort Binding offers an easy buckle release, in and out of the snowshoe and a one pull design that’s routed through the entire binding through the heel as well as the toe. The Wrap Comfort Binding has a toe stop for automatic placement of the foot and easy one pull design that routes the strap around the whole binding as well as a buckle release to quickly get in and out of the snowshoe. On our 10 Series Trail Walking Snowshoes we use tempered steel traverse track rails and a tempered steel All-Trac toe crampon with prongs of 360 degrees to reduce foot twist when walking on uneven terrain.
