Alesis M1 Active Powered Monitors: Hi, welcome back; Heath, Product Specialist for Alesis. I'm going to show you another product that is in our recording category. This is the Alesis M1 Active 520 USB. What we have here is a set of powered monitors. At first glance, ok they are a set of powered monitors; well let me tell you something extra about them. First of all, yeah you do have a headphone out in case you want to grab a quick set of headphones and defeat the speaker. You can plug your head phones in and it will cancel the speaker out. You get a blue light to show you that they are on, a red light will show you that you are clipping your signal. Very useful, very handy in a 5 inch monitor. Let's turn them around real quick and show you why they are cool. These particular monitors are cool because one of them will supply power to both with just a simple XLR cable, it will send your signal and power over. Additionally these are USB monitors. If I plug a computer into my USB jack here this is now not only going to send all my audio into these speakers but it's also going to capture audio. What does that mean? Well lets say I've got a piano, I plug it in left and right to these jacks right here, well all my sound is going to come out of the 520's and then allow my computer to now record it. So now not only is sound coming from your computer, but they are also allowing you to record to your computer. Very cool monitors. These are the Alesis M1 Active 520 USB.
