AKG K171 and K271 Headphones: Hi! I’m Walter Ruhrig from AKG Acoustics, back from the headquarters in Vienna, Austria. I’ll give you some explanations about our K171 and 271 headphone range. This is a 100% closed headphone design versus the similar open design of some other monitoring studio headphones. We do feature with these pair of headphones a very high noise attenuation from the outside. These headphones are built for any recording situation where the musician or even the engineer need utmost sealing against any surround sound noise from what they listen to inside the headphones. These headphones feature the utmost highest level for every recording situation where you need to listen to possible high audio level. For example, a drummer recording their drum kit, this is the right pair of headphones. It’s for onstage and studio use. The K171 is the second fellow of this series. It features the same technical details of reducing technology as the K271. The basic difference is that on this headphone here we do use the supra-aural earphone design, which makes the whole product smaller whenever it is an issue. For example, for use onstage when you would like to work, this is a more unobtrusive headphone design. The K171 will do the job. K171, K271. The closed headphone designs from AKG for studio recording applications.
